FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: composition contains approximately 2.0 to 2.5% hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (molecular weight from about 220000 to less than about 20000 Da) dissolved in physiologic solution. Such composition has viscosity about 15000 to 40000 cP. Composition contains no gel fragments or particles with size exceeding 0.5 mcm.
