OPHTHALMIC COMPOSITION BASED ON AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF ION- SENSITIVE HYDROPHILIC POLYMER (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2139016 C1

FIELD: medicine, more particularly local applications. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises ophthalmically active agent, ion-sensitive hydrophilic polymer in amount from 0.004 to 1.5 wt % of at least one salt selected from inorganic salts and buffers in total amount from 0.01 to 2.0 wt %, wetting agent in amount from 0 to 3.0 wt %, conservant in amount from 0. to 0.02 wt %, water and optionally pH-regulating agent in amount sufficient to adjust pH of composition from 4.0 to 8.0 at ratio of salt component and polymer component which make viscosity of solution of less than 1000 MPa.s. Composition allows for sufficient amount of polymer to attain controllable absorption of medicinal in eye. EFFECT: lower viscosity and better characteristics of composition to manipulate it. 15 cl, 7 ex, 2 dwg
