FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: ophthalmologic composition in the form of aqueous solution for topical administration largely consists of ophthalmologically active agent containing basic groups, ion-sensitive hydrophilic polymer containing acid groups in amounts 0.004 to 1.5 wt %, at least one salt selected from group including inorganic salts and buffers in summary amounts 0.01 to 2.0 wt %, and optionally wetting agent and preservative. Salt-to-polymer ratio is such to provide solution viscosity below 100 mPa. pH of solution lies within a range of 4.0-8.0. Amount of polymer is high enough to guarantee controlled absorption of drug in eye. Viscosity of composition is lowered to improve manipulation characteristics. EFFECT: improved manipulation characteristics. 10 cl, 6 dwg, 8 ex
