FIELD: plants for desulfurization of flue gases. SUBSTANCE: waste gas exhausted from combustion apparatus (boilers for example) is brought in contact with absorbing liquid for absorbing sulfuric oxide from waste gas by absorbing liquid; then absorbing liquid containing sulfuric oxide is subjected to neutralization; neutralization consists in selective leaving of solid desulfurizing agent in zone of neutralization of absorbing liquid and selective removal of absorbing liquid containing water as main component and solids formed by sulfuric oxide from neutralization zone. Ascending flow of absorbing liquid is formed in neutralization zone or ascending flow of air or water is formed together with above-mentioned ascending flow or irrespective of it for forming liquefied lime padding, thus excluding settling of gypsum particles on lime and maintaining reactivity of lime. EFFECT: high quality of desulfurization due to increased volume of solid desulfurizing agent in neutralization zone; avoidance of effect of aluminium and iron in absorbing liquid on property of desulfurization; improved quality of solid products formed by sulfuric oxide (gypsum) since solid desulfurizing agent (lime) is not mixed with particle of gypsum. 30 cl, 40 dwg
