FIELD: medical engineering; medicine, particularly, traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: during production process ground potential or bias potential, positive relative to ground is applied to insulated base holder (electrode) with implants (bases) in stages. Current is measured in circuit of base holder with implants, and properties of Ta2O5 coating applied are provided proceeding from data on variation and value of bias current. Production process is effected in two successive stages: the first stage - after starting of ion spraying of tantalum in atmosphere of argon, base holder with implants is supplied with ground potential. Oxygen is let in, and its partial pressure in production vacuum chamber is raised up to value at which bias current in circuit of base holder with implants starts decreasing. It testifies to beginning of formation of Ta2O5 dielectric coating on implant surface; the second stage - when bias current in circuit of base holder with implants is reduced to 0.9-0.6 of its initial value bias potential, positive with respect to ground, is supplied to base holder with implants, and this value of bias current is stabilized in time by increasing of positive bias potential which ensures formation of nonporous continuous dielectric Ta2O5 coating on implant surface. During period of stabilization of bias current value base holder with implants is suppled with ground potential periodically, and bias current in circuit of base holder with implants is measured. Moment of stopping of bias current reduction is considered to be end of formation period of nonporous continuous Ta2O5 coating on implant surface. Coating application process is continued till preset thickness of coating is obtained. EFFECT: improved quality of applied coatings. 4 dwg
