SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method that can be used for detection of chemical components of potential pathogens of infectious process in human and animal biological fluids. Method involves the direct assay of lipid markers of microorganisms in biological fluids without preliminary incubation at prevailing background of biological substrate. Composition of markers is determined by chromatography/mass-spectrometry method using selective ions and their quality and quantitative assay to specific species of microorganisms using bank data by chemical composition of possible components of infectious process. Quantitative assays are carried out using internal standard and equations of concentration balance of chemical components to be determined and based on contribution of separate microorganisms. Method ensures to carry out specific quantitative analysis of microbial markers in healthy and sick human blood and fix reliably the difference in marker concentrations.
