FIELD: systems for electric spark alloying. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for electric spark alloying includes power source and machine tool. The last has unit for rotating part and horizontal positioning mechanism including assemblies for crosswise and lengthwise motion of head with tool-electrode. Head is mounted in carriage. Unit for crosswise motion of head is in the form of automatic tracking system controlled by means of electronic device having electronic circuit for generating signals and driving circuit in the form of two thyristor switches. Electronic circuit for generating signals may detect voltage between tool-electrode and part and to select direction and motion stroke of tool-electrode. EFFECT: possibility of providing optimal mode for alloying surface in dependance upon material of tool-electrode. 2 dwg
