FIELD: cleaning waste and flue gases. SUBSTANCE: method consists in scrubbing the gas with flushing or scrubbing fluid containing chelate of transition metal. Chelate forms complex with nitric oxide, after which chelate is biologically regenerated in presence of electron donor and nitric oxide is reduced to molecular nitrogen. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of removal of nitric oxides from waster or flue gases at low capital outlays and operational cost. 12 cl, 5 dwg, 2 ex
