FIELD: mechanical engineering; scrubbing of gases. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to cleaning of gases from suspended particles, dust and other admixtures, and cleaning air and/or waste gases in different industries. According to proposed method several water curtains are formed. Curtains are arranged one after the other and are directed from top to bottom. Contaminated gas is positively delivered to curtains in longitudinal direction square to direction of water curtains. Thickness of curtains and their number are found to provided their engagement with contaminated gas flow with formation of supersaturated steam and further condensation with core in from of particle of gas contaminating substances. EFFECT: enhanced quality of cleaning, simplified design of device, economy and convenience in operation. 14 cl, 2 dwg
