FIELD: composite materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing wear- resistant parts for mining industry, construction, and metal-cutting tools. Sintered body consisting of hard carbide and binder characterized by the first grain size is first made, in which binder is present at the first level of binder content and hard carbide is characterized by the first grain size. Granules of ablative sintered material are then brought into contact with at least part of exposed surface of sintered body, ablative sintered material consisting of hard carbide and binder and the latter being present in ablative sintered material at the second level of binder content and hard carbide characterized by the second grain size. Afterwards, sintered body with ablative sintered material are thermally treated to change content of binder in the region of surface of sintered body.
