FIELD: production of nonwoven fabric used for manufacture of clothing, upholstered furniture, filters, carpet layers, roofing materials etc. SUBSTANCE: method involves extruding molten thermoplastic polymeric material for forming multiple-fiber spinning line from filaments; drawing multiple-fiber spinning line; passing it through cooling zone for hardening filaments from which multiple-fiber line is composed; assembling it on support for forming fabric and fastening it. Spinning line is directed lengthwise between cooling zone and support so that it runs about at least two drawing drive shafts having strong smooth surface. Shafts are surrounded with housing at spinning line and shafts contact points. Housing has inlet and outlet edges and is arranged so that spinning line is fed through its inlet edge. Shafts apply pulling force to spinning line when the latter is directed via pneumatic nozzle disposed at housing outlet edge and adapted for generating continuous gas flow from inlet edge to outlet edge to provide contact between spinning line and shafts and for bringing out spinning line from housing outlet edge toward support. Apparatus has extrusion openings for forming spinning line, cooling zone disposed rearward of extrusion zone, at least two spaced drawing shafts having strong smooth surfaces and surrounded with housing at points of contact with spinning line. Housing is provided with inlet and outlet edges and is positioned for receiving spinning line. Drawing pneumatic nozzle facilitates generation of continuous gas flow from inlet edge to outlet edge, provides contact between spinning line and shafts and delivery of spinning line from outlet edge. Support is disposed under nozzle and adapted for receiving spinning line. Spinning line fastening device is positioned rearward of fiber fabric forming zone. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of fabric and articles manufactured from such fabric by uniform drawing of spinning line. 20 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
