FIELD: mechanical engineering; torque transmission at adjustable speed. SUBSTANCE: variable-speed drive has frame with main duct in its wall as well as driving and driven half- couplings mounted inside frame for rotation, unit transmitting rotary motion from driving half-coupling to driven one, and driven half-coupling speed control member. Spring-loaded blades of unit are placed in radial slots of other half-coupling for reciprocating in axial direction. Cavity formed by cylindrical drilling of first half-coupling, inner wall of frame, and blades communicates with main duct and receives projection of other half-coupling. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced material input, facilitated manufacture. 3 dwg
