METHOD FOR TREATING POSTTRAUMATIC FINGER FLEXION CONTRACTURE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying distraction apparatus at the first stage. Distraction is carried out at a rate of 1-2 mm per day until patient feels pains in the finger. Next to it, discrete distraction method is applied. Every day, a half of the finger extension angle gained during the day is returned. The contracture being removed, the second stage is realized by taking off the distraction apparatus and applying tendolysis. EFFECT: increased movement amplitude in the joint.
