FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method may be used for production of alloys and slags of special composition for use in steel making by mixing liquid steel - blank produced in one melting unit with dioxidizing and alloying alloy produced together with synthetic slag in other unit. The method consists in charging into furnace of burden including oxides of alloying elements, reducing agent and lime, their combined smelting in furnace with introduction of lime during smelting. To enhance degree of recovery of alloying elements and produce alloy and synthetic slag with required level of refining of metal, lime in the course of burden charging and smelting is introduced in amount ensuring calcium oxide-alumina ratio in slag after smelting of burden equalling (1.8-2.8):1. Liquid slag is treated with carbon-containing materials with its consumption of 20-60 kg/t of slag. Then, introduced into furnace are lime and alumina-containing materials in amount sufficient for obtaining slag of preset composition. EFFECT: reduced expenditures and labor input for production of alloying and deoxidizing alloy together with synthetic slag ensuring the required mechanical properties of produced steel. 2 tbl
