FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves using plasmatron nozzle which exit opening diameter is 0.8 mm large, current is 6 A, gas flow rate at the exit is 0.3-1.2 l/min, voltage is 12 V in cases when cerebral artery diameter is not greater than 1.5 mm, and that of the cerebral vein is not greater than 2.5 mm. Plasma jet is directed at an angle of 30-40 deg to the wound surface in performing scanning movements with the plasma flow end. When exceeding the mentioned sizes, the blood vessels are preliminarily exposed to radiation from 2.5-3.5 cm distance with exposure time of 4-6 s and then transected. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced blood losses; lower risk of traumatic complications.
