FIELD: machine engineering, instrument making, namely finish grinding of blanks. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes movable upper plate for fastening blank and stationary lower plate. Heating members engage with movable bar arranged between plates. There are two main and four additional mechanisms for fixing upper plate. Said mechanisms are in the form of spring-loaded wedges with rods being cores of electromagnets. Additional fixing mechanisms are in constant engagement with heating members for providing blank lifting. Main fixing mechanisms are designed for engaging with movable bar and for preventing its reverse stroke. EFFECT: increased range of blank motion and therefore enlarged manufacturing possibilities of apparatus. 4 dwg
