EXCESSIVE-PRESSURE VALVE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: valve is used for automatic maintenance of preset gage pressure (backup pressure) and for emergency shutoff of gas pipeline channel. Valve has body with coaxial working branch pipes and with internal cavity. It accommodates spring-loaded shutoff member mounted on guide supporting element for displacement to oppose spring force. Shutoff member has thrust surface for spring. Internal space of body is divided by transverse partition with through axial hole. Guide supporting element is rigidly secured in body. H-shaped shutoff member has blind central hole. The latter contains guide supporting element with damping chamber formed between mentioned hole and hole bottom. Operating surfaces of shutoff member are positioned on different sides of partition so that axial hole of partition may be overlapped. Valve makes it possible to shut off gas pipeline and to stop gas flow within certain minimum permissible time. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
