SEED SEPARATION METHOD Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture and food-processing industry, in particular, cleaning of seeds from contaminants and seed gaging by complex of physicomechanical properties. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding layer of basic seed mixture onto inclined rough surface, positioned at an angle to horizontal plane, onto its central portion between end edges, with seed mixture layer thickness being equal to 3-11 diameters of seed; spilling seed mixture from inclined rough surface and dividing seed mixture flow into upper, intermediate and lower parts in the ratio of 0.1-0.2, 0.5-0.7 and 0.2-0.3, respectively; moving intermediate part of seed mixture flow in countercurrency with respect to lower and upper parts. While moving intermediate part of seed mixture flow, seed is repeatedly fed onto rough inclined surface and spilled flow is repeatedly divided into three parts upon each feeding of seed mixture, with following stepped transportation of parts in countercurrency along lower edge of surface. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing optimum conditions of separation process and simplified method. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
