FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to loose material classification of loose materials and may be used chemical, microbiological and other industries, as well as in agriculture. Proposed method comprises feeding loose materials in layers on series of rough inclined surfaces, dividing falling layer in height into three parts after each surface, countercurrent transfer of said parts along lower edges of said surfaces and isolating fractions after final surface by lengthwise separation of falling layer into parts. Said countercurrent transfer is performed by blowing the layer by air fed along surface lower edges in direction of one of lateral edges, while layer central part is transferred toward air flow using deflecting elements arranged in line. Proposed device comprises loading bin, proportioner, and rough inclined surfaces arranged in cascade there behind. Assemblies to divide falling flow into three parts and transfer them in countercurrent along said lower edges are arranged under each aforesaid surface. Said assemblies are made up of air chambers oriented along said lower edges and communicated with air feed and discharge manifolds arranged on opposite lateral edges. Central part of every said chamber accommodates separators of material layer made up of two vertical plates arranged to move horizontally. A number of flexible deflectors are secured between plates, on their opposite sides. Extracted fraction collector is arranged under lower air chamber.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of classification.
