FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of electrotechnical steels, particularly hot rolling of continuously cast slabs of transformer steel. SUBSTANCE: method for hot rolling in continuous wide strip rolling mill comprises steps of rolling continuously cast slabs in group of rough rolling stands of rolling mill; cooling rolled piece transported by roller table between groups of stands for rough and finish rolling; realizing hot deformation in first stands of finish rolling stand group and air cooling of strip between stands; douching strip at inlet of last but one stand; rolling strip in last but one stand and in last stand of group of finish rolling stands. Total consumption of water at douching that provides normalization of cooling rate of surface layers of strips in last but one interstand interval is set according to relation Q=12.15 x(326-tr.p.t.+0.518 x t6 + 23.97 x h12), where Q - total consumption of cooling water, cubic meter/hour; h12- strip thickness after twelfth stand, mm; t6 - temperature of rolled piece at inlet of sixth stand of group of finish rolling stands, C; tr.p.t. - temperature of rolling process termination, C. EFFECT: increased density of finely dispersed inclusions of inhibiting phase in silicon steel of final thickness before high-temperature annealing due to prevention of processes of selection of inclusions of AlN in temperature range 980-850 C at hot deformation in last passes in group of finish rolling stands, enhanced yield of high sorts of electrical anizotropic steel. 2 tbl
