FIELD: machine engineering, possibly operations for working openings in blanks by means of axial blade-type tool with use of cutting fluid. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of exciting amplitude modulated ultrasonic oscillations in cutting fluid fed by sprinkling directly in working zone; applying said oscillations to guiding jig sleeve designed for transmitting oscillations in radial direction to cutting tool. It provides increased time period for keeping strength of cutting tool due to intensified penetrability of cutting fluid by action of amplitude modulated ultrasonic oscillations. EFFECT: enhanced working efficiency, lowered friction between cutting tool and blank, simplified cuttings removal. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
