FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device is intended for use on grinding machines. Device has two nozzles positioned symmetrically along grinding wheel ends in close proximity to its periphery. Device also includes pipelines and pipe connections. Nozzles are connected rigidly to waveguides. Axles are secured in hollow of each nozzle on which resonant plate is positioned. Pipe connection is provided with round-section hole turning into slot. Slot width corresponds to that of plate, and its height, to plate thickness. Symmetry plane of plate coincides with symmetry plane of pipe connection. As a result of exposure of liquid to ultrasonic oscillations superposed on waveguide and of resonant plate oscillations, process of impregnation of pore space of grinding wheel with liquid is intensified. Maximum effect is obtained when oscillation frequency in cutting fluid jet coincides with inherent frequency of plate. This widens spectrum of frequencies superposed on liquid which intensifies cutting fluid flow through zone of contact of wheel with blank. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
