FIELD: molding machines. SUBSTANCE: proposed closure includes frame and two rigid plates which rest against this frame and are mounted in parallel opposite each other. Closure has one movable plate for securing the mold; this plate is movable on frame between rigid plates. Drive of closure is mounted on one of rigid plates; drive may load movable plate with closing force. Tensile members connected both rigid plates and take up tensile stress exerted on these plates by drive. Points of action of upper tensile members on rigid plates lie above horizontal plane passing through axis of force and points of action of lower tensile members lie under this plane. C-shaped upper tensile members are located under horizontal plane between movable and rigid plates. Elongation of upper and lower tensile members is similar at preset closing force. According to another version, upper and lower tensile members are connected with rigid plates by means of flexible member for transmission of force compensating for difference in their rigidity. Device provides for free access to space between movable and rigid plates. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reliability. 13 cl, 7 dwg
