FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: passage has sections of wall for mounting them on fore extremity of ship. Channel is formed by extremity and inner surface of passage. It is mounted on outer surface along front surface of this extremity. Passage has closed lower portion. At above-mentioned section of side wall passage rises above waterline. Passage separates flow of air passing through channel from flow passing beyond it. Each section of walls has aerodynamic profile which is longitudinal relative to ship. Sections of walls with aerodynamic profile have leading edge forming at least one inlet hole and trailing edge forming at least one outlet hole. Above-mentioned sections of walls have convex inner surfaces. Channels for flow of water first converge and then diverge in way of ship's stern. Convex surfaces increase rate of flow of water through channels as compared with rate of flow of water around outer of stem passage, thus reducing pressure inside passage. EFFECT: improved service properties of ship. 9 cl, 16 dwg
