FIELD: metallurgy; blast-furnace smelting. SUBSTANCE: method consists in separate charging of ore to peripheral zone of furnace top whose width is equal to 0.6-0.7 of furnace top radius and loading of fuel to axilla zone whose radius is equal to 0.3 - 0.4 of furnace top radius. Coke, hard coal or coal bricks are used as fuel; hot blast is enriched with ozygen to 30 - 80%. In case of non-uniformity of lowering of melting-stock column above limits of mechanical stability of smelting, pressure of blast-furnace gas is additional changed relative to its nominal magnitude. EFFECT: saving of solid fuel to 0.45 kg/kg of cast-iron. 5 cl, 8 dwg
