FIELD: metallurgy; method of blast-furnace smelting. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes separate loading of coke and iron ores through furnace top, introduction of additional carbon-containing additive into iron ore material in the amount of 10- 100 kg/ton-h above total consumption of fuel through furnace top and tuyeres. Used as additives are coke wastes, crushed anthracite, granulated coal at size not exceeding 5 mm and water-and- coat slime. Degree of homogeneity of iron ore materials and carbon-containing additive does not exceed 2. Average size of iron ore materials does not exceed 40 mm and size of blast-furnace coke is no less than 40 mm. Smooth travel coefficient which is no less than 0.5 is used for check of stability of smelting process. EFFECT: enhanced gas permeability of ore softening zone. 5 cl, 18 dwg,13 tbl,2 ex
