FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic cylinder which controls clutch-brake operation is made of two discs positioned vertically over external diameter and installed in parallel to each other. Discs are secured rigidly to each other by means of jumpers (ribs). These discs form supporting disc of clutch and supporting disc of brake. Horizontal through holes are made under discs and in pneumatic cylinder body. They receive guide bushings in which power pins are installed for reciprocating motion. One end of power pins carries driven pressure disc of clutch, while the other end, driven pressure disc of brake. In this case, pressure disc (ring) of clutch is not coupled to switching assembly hub, and pressure disc of brake serves simultaneously as pneumatic cylinder piston of clutch-brake. Friction assembly adjustment device is made in the form of stack of measuring circular shims positioned on smaller diameter threaded end of every power pin and arranged in special nuts which interact with disc and lock nut. Clutch-brake has simplified construction, reduced specific metal amount, inertial moment and width. EFFECT: prolonged storage life. 2 cl, 2 dwg
