FIELD: mechanical engineering; mechanical presses and other forging machines.

SUBSTANCE: housing of pneumatic cylinder being support driven disk of clutch-brake is rigidly installed on hub 1 and consists, in one of its parts, of two parallel disks 4 and 5 of clutch-brake rigidly coupled by ribs 6. Driving disks 45 with friction members 46, intermediate driven disk 16 and movable pressure driven disk 15 of clutch carrying brake springs on stop plugs interact with disk 4 by order. Driving disk 47 of brake with friction members 48 and pressure disk 24 of brake, being piston of pneumatic cylinder installed in space 3 of pneumatic cylinder 2, interact with disk 5. Movable pressure driven disk 15 of clutch, intermediate driven disk 16 and pressure disk 24 of brake, being piston of pneumatic cylinder, are arranged on movable pins installed in bushings and in through holes of disk 4, 5, 15, 16 and 24 of clutch-brake. Devices to provide smooth adjustment of required clearances between driven and driving disks during operation of engagement unit are made in from of disk-form threaded nuts installed on smaller diameter threaded end of each load-bearing movable pins profile of edge of diameter in section in form of acute wedge, and with figure marking over entire circumference form vertical zero line, for instance: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4... etc in 1 mm steps, with five divisions between each two adjacent figures, for instance, between 0-1, 0-2, 2-3 and further on over circumference of nuts. Invention improves design of clutch-brake and process of its adjustments, increases brake torque value, improves reliability, efficiency of cooling of friction zone, increases service life, reduces weight of engagement unit and inertia torque of accelerated and brake parts, simplifies mounting and demounting of brake springs and improves conditions of adjustment and servicing of engagement unit in operation.

EFFECT: improved design of clutch-brake.
