FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming additional feeding pedicle on the distal end of the costal graft from its musculoperiosteal flap that is fixed in pleura in subpleural pocket formed through an incision in the pleura in the paravertebral intercostal zone. The flap tissue is spread in subpleural position from the inferior edge of the superior rib to the superior edge of the inferior rib.
