FIELD: hydroelectric power engineering. SUBSTANCE: power plant that functions to convert kinetic energy of river-water current into electrical energy has flexible shaft mounting several water-wheels; on one end it is coupled with river- side mounted electric generator and on the other it is attached to bearing fixed on above-the-bottom cable; it also has winches with cables and two bottom power cables. Flexible shaft is mounted perpendicular to river course. Above-the-bottom cable has large anchor and small one. Head portion of above-the-bottom cable is attached to top of triangular bracket welded to large anchor and its tail portion is fixed to small anchor through bracket in the form of ski bent toe for elevating above-the-bottom cable through distance greater than water-wheel radius from river bottom. Large and small anchors are mounted for displacement by means of respective winches over respective bottom power cable in order to lift entire set of water-wheels onto river bank for their repairs or during ice run and for returning water-wheels to river bottom. Power plant may have several flexible shafts and same number of electric generators; when this is the case, water-wheels are mounted on any two adjacent shafts for opposite rotation of these shafts. EFFECT: improved efficiency and operating stability of power plant. 4 cl, 3 dwg
