SUBSTANCE: vertical settling device has body which consists of cylindrical upper and conical lower parts, conical wall widening upward and having baffle and separating body hollow into central clarification chamber, and external settling zone intercommunicating by holes made in lower part of wall above baffle and overflow windows with external baffling plates above which conical shelf precipitators are located in central clarification chamber and external settling zone.
