FIELD: manufacture of heat-insulating articles. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacturing heat-insulating members, particularly, heat-insulating members of wall panels includes manufacture of shell with formation of hollow in it by molding. In this case shell material is loaded in volume exceeding the required value into mold, heated in heat carrier for 1-5 min up to temperature of 80-180 C up to shell starting, and excessive material is removed with formation of hollow, and then sintered or sintered and foamed at temperature of 180-400 C. Hollow is filled with filler, or with mixture of filler with binding agent, and formed member is cooled to 18-20 C. Application of the method results in reduction of price cost of heat-insulating member without impairing its physico-mechanical properties due to replacement of material-consuming complicated mold with vessel with heat carrier to reduce expenditures in manufacture of mold, and to reduce time of shell holding in mold up to consolidation. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 1 tbl
