METHOD FOR COMPLEX MORPHOMETRIC ESTIMATE OF HEPATIC CAPSULE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2153851 C1

FIELD: medicine, in particular, in pathologic anatomy, histology, hepatology. SUBSTANCE: hepatic capsule is examined by tissue specimens after any variant of traditional histological treatment. The capsule profile is measured on sections. Measurements are carried out for regularly repeating anatomic structures of a portion containing surface branches of portal tracts or veins of the liver - "enlargements" of capsule. The thickness and depth are measured in them perpendicularly to the surface of the organ, the thickness of "enlargements" - parallel to the surface in the form of projection onto the surface, and the length of the specimen being examined. A complex of indices is calculated by formulas, the mean depth of capsule "enlargements" (Hmean) , where Hi - depth of capsule "enlargement", N - quantity of all examined capsule "enlargements", the mean width of capsule "enlargements" (Lmean) Lmean, where - width of capsule "enlargement", the index of the capsule "enlargement" form Li (If),. The relative fraction of the width of capsule "enlargements" (PL), where - length of capsule profile of one specimen, K - quantity of all examined specimens, the average quantity of "enlargements" for the space of the capsule standard length equal to 10 mm (Vli) . An increase of the mean depth, width, relative fraction of "enlargements" at a decrease of the form index testifies to the symptoms of fibrosis - active in mechanism. The growth of the quantity of "enlargements" over the standard length of the capsule profile - as a formation of fibrosis with participation of passive mechanism in senile age, at a decrease of the organ mass caused by parenchyma. At a decrease of the quantity of "enlargements", as a formation of focal subcapular fibrosis due to involvement of adjacent "enlargements" into a single conglomerate. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of estimate. 1 dwg, 3 tbl
