IMMERSIBLE NOZZLE FOR CASTING MELT METAL Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: immersible nozzle for casting melt metal, namely melt steel from casting vessel to mold of continuous casting plant. SUBSTANCE: immersible nozzle includes tubular upper portion secured to casting vessel and lower portion with side near its mouth much longer than its lateral side. Upper portion of nozzle has in its end turned to lower portion widened zone embracing inlet of lower portion. There is sealing between inlet zone of lower portion and upper portion. Lower portion has support in its inlet zone; holding members passing through said support are designed for joining lower and upper portions. EFFECT: limited stresses in zone of butt of nozzle parts made of different refractory materials with guaranteed gas-tight joining of both parts. 16 cl, 8 dwg
