FIELD: mechanical engineering; transportation of strip coils. SUBSTANCE: chain for strip coils transportation has double-axle carriages with running rollers coupled through intermediate links. Each carriage has V-shaped cradle for placing the coils horizontally along chain. Inclined surfaces of cradle are furnished with cross centering projections found in middle between running rollers. Height of projection is H=0.01-0.04 B where B is basic length of cradle. EFFECT: provision of uniform load on carriage running rollers. 3 dwg
