FIELD: molecular biology, biochemistry, genetic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to DNA encoding enzyme 3-phospho-glycerate dehydrogenase with decreased sensitivity to inhibition by serine as compared with 3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase of wild type. 3-Phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase of the wild type is presented by bacterial or yeast enzyme. DNA encoding 3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase with alternations in 25% by C-terminus in enzyme of wild type, preferably, in 52 amino acids by C-terminus is constructed by genetic engineering method. Invention provides producing pure serine and serine-containing compounds. EFFECT: DNA fragment indicated above, improved method of serine producing. 4 cl, 3 dwg, 2 tbl
