METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS WITH DISSEMINATED UTERINE CERVICAL CANCER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2205619 C1

FIELD: medicine, oncology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested method deals with carrying out local HF- hyperthermia at 42.5-43 C at its constant control in cervical canal right before seances of intracavitary gamma-therapy. Beforehand, one should bring out uterine cervix by special speculum to place electrodes round it in the form of T-shaped elements of cylindrical surface fixed with spring-controlled lock, then vagina should be introduced with 50-60 ml current-conducting liquid, irradiation is carried out with electromagnetic fluctuations at 13.56 MHz frequency for 15-20 min up to achieving the mentioned temperature and for 30 min after its achievement at constant control of temperature in both current-conducting liquid and cervical canal. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 2 cl
