FIELD: heat-and-mass exchange apparatus of evaporative cooling of air and humidification of air in water recirculating systems and air-conditioning systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has housing, tray, water discharge pipe, fan, water supply pipe line, primary and secondary dispersion members, nozzle with coaxial taper section introduced additionally and mounted along vertical axis of housing; primary dispersion member is taper in shape; mounted in groups on its outer surface are interconnected overlapping horizontal plates located stepwise at different levels and asymmetrically; secondary dispersion members are made in form of wire screens mounted coaxially relative to vertical axis. Taper primary dispersion member provided with taper insert is mounted for motion along load-bearing rod by means of adjusting screw; load-bearing rod is fixed coaxially relative to axis of nozzle by means of spacer centering bush; wire screens are made in form of closed screen cylinder or screen cones; vertex angle of screen cone lies between 0 and 45 deg.
