FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, complex treatment of metal in ladle for subsequent steel continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method includes steel tapping from steel melting unit into ladle, supply of slag mixture into ladle in course of steel tapping. Consumption of slag mixture is determined by relationship G=KL(Sl-SZ)MT kg/t of steel, where Sl is sulfur content in steel poured into ladle from steel melting unit, wt.%; S2 is required content of sulfur in steel after its treatment in ladle, wt.%; M is weight of steel in ladle, t; T is steel temperature before tapping, C; Kl is empirical coefficient equalling 0.0026-0.0074 kg/t2.%.°C. Then, supplied to ladle is aluminum wire, and steel is subjected to top blowing with oxygen at its flow rate determined by relationship given in the invention description. Slag mixture is used in solid state which consists of wt, wt.%: lime 50-90; granulated aluminum 1-30; the balance, fluorspar.
