FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, complex treatment of steel in ladle for its subsequent continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method includes steel tapping from steel melting unit into ladle, supply to ladle in course of steel tapping of solid slag mixture consisting of, wt/%: lime 50-90; granulated aluminum 1-30; the balance, fluorspar. Consumption of solid slag mixture is determined by relation G=Kl(Sl-S2)M, where G is consumption of solid slag mixture, kg/t of steel; S1 is content of sulfur in steel poured into ladle from steel melting unit, wt.%; S2 is required content of sulfur in steel after its treatment in ladle, wt.%; M is steel weight in ladle, t; Kl is empirical coefficient equalling 4.3-12.0 kg/sq.t. Then, supplied to ladle is aluminum wire, and steel is blown from atop with oxygen for time determined by definite relation taking into consideration oxygen consumption, steel volume in ladle, consumption of aluminum wire, steel temperature in ladle at start of its treatment, and area of steel surface in ladle. After blowing with oxygen, steel is blown with neutral gas for time determined by given relationship. EFFECT: higher degree of desulfurization and heating of steel. 1 tbl, 5 ex
