FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, and namely to processing of molten metal in a ladle during tapping process in order to perform effective desulphurisation. Method involves tapping of molten metal from steel-making unit to the ladle, supply of siliceous material as deoxidiser at the beginning of tapping process and during tapping process, manganiferous material - during tapping process, and material containing the element having affinity to oxygen, which is higher than that of silica. Siliceous material is supplied with flow rate of 2.2-2.5 kg/t of molten metal and the supply is stopped when 0.2 of the height of the ladle working cavity is filled. Manganese oxides used as manganiferous material and material containing the element having affinity to oxygen, which is higher than that of silica, is supplied simultaneously and continuously when filling in the ladle, starting from 0.2 and stopping at 0.9 of height of its working cavity, with their uniform distribution along the molten metal surface; at that, manganiferous material is supplied with flow rate equal to 1.05-1.07 of the flow rate required for obtaining the necessary quantity of manganese in steel, and material containing the element having affinity to oxygen, which is more than that of silica, is supplied with flow rate exceeding stoichiometrically required flow rate by 3-5%.
EFFECT: use of invention ensures obtaining steel with low sulphur content owing to deep desulphurisation during molten metal tapping process.
