METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF CERAMIC MOLDS AND CORES ACCORDING TO CONSTANT MODELS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: foundry; manufacture of ceramic molds and cores from gel-like suspensions on base of hydrolyzed ethyl silicate. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of suspensions on base of refractory filler and hydrolyzed solution of ethyl silicate. Gel-forming agent is introduced into suspension at continuous mixing. Gel-forming agent is prepared in form of composition consisting of powder-like filler of organic mineral chemical reagent in form of solution of aluminomethyl sodium siliconate and gas-forming pH regulator in form of aluminum salt of hydrochloric, or sulfuric or nitric acid. Pyrogenic silica or pyrogenic chamotte or slag of ferrochromium process is used as filler. Use of gel-forming agent in form of composition provides for more smooth distribution of this agent in volume of suspension due to use of powder-like filler producing satellite effect in suspensions. Fillers are includes in binding structure for strengthening it. Use of aluminomethyl siliconate together with pH regulator in form of aluminum salt of inorganic acids provides for control and stabilization of gel-forming process of suspension and strengthening of ceramic in drying and calcination.
