FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking patient blood for determining antithrombin III activity in blood plasma, soluble monomer fibrin complexes concentration and XIIIa-dependent fibrinolysis state. Antithrombin III activity, soluble monomer fibrin complexes concentration and XIIIa-dependent fibrinolysis are expressed in relative units, where antithrombin III activity (K1), soluble monomer fibrin complexes concentration (K2) and XIIIa-dependent fibrinolysis (K3) are ratios of the corresponding values determined in the testee, to the like known reference values under normal conditions. Integral parameter describing hemostasis system state is calculated from formula: IPHS =K1/(K2+K3) x 100%. The IPHS value being equal to or less than 6.4, lethal outcome is to be predicted. EFFECT: high accuracy of prognosis; simplified method. 1 tbl
