FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning grain from contaminants; treating with propionic acid aerosol generated by spraying propionic acid into gas flow in the process of supplying stream on end surface of rod-type longitudinal vibration concentrator which is vibrated from supersonic source at frequency of 18-120 kHz. Chitosan is solved in propionic acid prior to spraying. Joint effect of propionic acid and supersonics facilitates grain sterilization preventing it from microbiological damage. Method is used for postharvest treatment of grain prior to laying it for prolonged storage. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved storage life.
