METHOD OF PROCESSING OF POLYMER MATERIALS, FOR INSTANCE, RUBBER AND PLANT FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: methods of processing of polymer materials, rubber products, work tiers for production of material suitable for reuse. SUBSTANCE: method includes crushing of material into small pieces - crumb, which is fed to cooling chamber, pulverizing of material, and separation of textile fiber and metal cord. Obtained crumb is separated and supplied to cooling chamber from top down, and cooled air is supplied to upper and lower parts of chamber. Used air is withdrawn from middle part of chamber and cleaned in annular chamber located coaxially to cooling chamber. Simultaneously with supply and withdrawal of cooled air, additional cleaning of cooled air is effected in chamber by means of making gaps between cooling chamber and, at least one annular chamber. Supply and discharge of rubber crumb in cooling chamber is regulated with help of metering devices. Plant for processing of polymer material has device for crushing of material into small pieces which is connected with cooling unit. The latter has device for cooling and chamber connected with device by pipelines and provided with holes for supply and withdrawal of crumb. Device has means for crushing, and pulverization of material, and separation of textile fiber, and magnetic separator. Cooling chamber in device is located vertically and has metering devices installed at its inlet and outlet, coaxially to cooling chamber, for regulation of supply and withdrawal of processed rubber crumb. Cooling chamber upper and lower parts have holes for supply of cooled air. Chamber middle part hole for withdrawal of used air. Cooling chamber has, at least, one coaxial annular chamber to form gap between them. Annular chamber is expanded in radial direction.
