FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking venous and arterial blood samples, recording plasma chemiluminescence level in samples during 5 min. Total luminescence optical sum is calculated in conditional units using known methods. The difference between the venous and arterial blood luminescence optical sums being within the limits from 10% to 30%, light form of acute lung injury syndrome is to be diagnosed. The value being within the limits from 30% to 40%, medium severity form of acute lung injury syndrome is to be diagnosed. The value being higher than 40%, heavy lung injury syndrome is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: low costs of diagnosis procedure.
