LENSES FOR HOLOGRAPHIC GLASSES (MODIFICATIONS) Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2158019 C2

FIELD: manufacture of sun, decorative, advertising and club glasses. SUBSTANCE: lenses for holographic glasses have an optically stable base, whose inner surface facing the user carries a layer of photographic recording material, in which at least one volume hologram is recorded. Located behind this layer on the side of the user is a compensation layer applied onto a support of optically transparent material on the side of the user. The compensation layer is a selectively reflecting one for the preset solid angle of radiation in one or several spectral ranges including the wavelengths at which the maximum diffraction efficiency of the respective volume hologram is attained, and radiation is passed outside the mentioned one or several spectral ranges. In a particular case the compensation layer is made in the form of a layer of photographic recording material similar to that in which one or several reflecting holograms of specular subjects for the mentioned one or several spectral ranges are recorded. EFFECT: reduced color contrast in lens aperture in passing light at an expansion of the range of angles, in which observation of holographic image, range of light incident angles restoring the hologram is possible, as well as at an enhanced brightness of images of subjects restored from holograms. 30 cl, 10 dwg
