FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: adsorber is designed for absorbing fuel vapors from fuel tank. Adsorber has sealed housing limited by upper and lower parts and adsorbing substance placed into housing. Upper part has three branch pipes, namely, fuel vapor feed-in, fuel vapor let-out branch pipes and branch pipe placing inner part of absorber in communication with atmosphere. Lower part has trap for liquid fuel (condensate). Fuel vapor branch pipe is provided with flow section constriction made on horizontal section of branch pipe higher than its horizontal axis. Flow section constriction area is S1= (0.03-0.08)S, where S is fuel vapor feed-in branch pipe flow section area. EFFECT: improved efficiency of adsorber, reduced toxicity owing to reduction of amount of fuel getting into trap. 2 cl, 4 dwg
