FIELD: oil pollution removal. SUBSTANCE: sorbing floating barrier consists of sections constructed in the form of sorbent-filled gauze-shell cylinders clamped by reinforcing belts with lesser diameter. Sections are assembled into cellular structure and fixed on cables against displacement along the latter by annular holders and radial ties. Reinforcing belts are provided with valves enabling filling the sections with flowing foaming sorbent. In case of localizing burning petroleum products, heat-resistant sorbent is employed. EFFECT: enabled urgent localization of oil spills, high-degree water purification, and recovery of spilt products. 5 cl, 4 dwg
