FIELD: apparatuses for manual electric arc welding by single metallic consumable electrode. SUBSTANCE: electrode holder includes handle 6 of electric current lead 1 with lodgment 2, spring-loaded clamp 5 with lever 7 extending over handle 6. Lodgment includes grooves 3 with stop for limiting length of mounted portion of electrode. Stops also have grooves vertical relative to plane of lodgment 2 and joined with grooves of lodgment 2 along their whole depth. Size of grooves corresponds to maximum diameter of mounted electrode. Such structure of electrode provides close adjoining of electrode to surface of groove and therefore reduced contact resistance between electrode and lodgment of electric current lead. EFFECT: reduced power consumption, increased useful life of electrode holder. 6 dwg
